Yang Yang And The Beluga Whale (2008)

A couple of months before the Beijing Olympics, a feel good story began circulating of a boy who had been allowed to swim with a beluga whale in an aquarium somewhere in China. His hand is what caught my attention. And the fact that the whole nation of China at the time seemed to be ‘enamoured’ by the upcoming Olympics; expecting that their dreams, whatever they may be, will be fulfilled. The whale seems quite happy too.

Spectacle at Occupy Central (2014)

Someone climbed onto the roof of a bridge and threatened to jump over unless all the protesters left the occupy central sites and re-open the roads. He climbed back down after a few hours and the protesters continued. These are the spectators.
